Losing Your Passion & How to Find It Again

Losing your passion feels absolutely awful. It seems like one day you just wake up and nothing excites you anymore. You dread your job, your daily routine, and are unmotivated to do things that bring you joy & excitement.

I’ve had times in my life where I felt uninspired, lost, and unsure about what to do next. I used to think it was permanent and I was stuck in this awful place forever. However, there is a solution if you’re willing to be brutally honest with yourself about what’s bursting your passion bubble. It might not be the easiest thing to admit to at first, or the easiest thing to change, but with a little effort you’ll start feeling connected & motivated.

In this episode I discuss:

  • What it feels like to be uninspired & disconnected from yourself
  • Factors that are draining your passion
  • Motivation to leave the job you hate
  • Practices & Tips to help re-ignite your passion

The times in my life where I’ve been working at job, just to have a paycheck, have caused me the most suffering. I always stay there for way too long, and it puts me in a pattern of resenting work, even when I wasn’t there! Which was causing me to feel exhausted & drained all the time, and this kept me from wanting to find other jobs or work on my own projects.

I believe for most of us, a job we’re not crazy about is the root cause of our unhappiness. We spend a majority of our week working, and if you hate your job, think about how much time and energy you’re giving away to something you resent. I hope this discussion inspires you to make in a change in your life and to rediscover your passions. Share it with someone you know that could use some help on this topic!
